Council Member Tom Murphy, was elected to his first term on the City Council for ward three in 2004, and was re-elected in 2008. He and his wife Dianna are fourth-generation Gillette residents. Tom has worked in several closely-held family businesses, as well as for large corporations. Since 1994 he was employed as Project Superintendent and Estimator for companies who build highways, city streets, and do utility work.
Council Member Murphy's goal on the Gillette City Council is to promote responsible community growth, tempered with a prudent long-term outlook.
