The Public Works & Utilities Advisory Committee advises the Public Works Director, Utilities Director, Director of Engineering & Building and the City Council on utilities, engineering, and public works matters. Responsibilities include periodic review and recommendations of standard construction specifications and engineering design standards; building codes; water, sanitary sewer, and electrical utility policies.

The committee continuously works with City staff to address issues and develop solutions to problems that impact infrastructure and utilities that are the foundation of our community. The committee strives to keep the City policies progressive in order to maintain cost effective sustainable infrastructure and utilities. The committee is comprised of engineers, contractors, suppliers, and at large citizens. Members serve up to 2 three-year terms. Members can serve more than 2 terms, but not consecutively.

The committee meets the third Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. (except June, July, and August) in the 2nd Floor Engineering Conference Room at City Hall.
